Lauren Dockery can be described with one word: sunshine. In fact, you have probably heard her contagious laugh or have seen her radiant smile around the cathedral. Lauren came to Cleveland all the way from Los Angeles, California to serve as a Trinity Cleveland Urban Service Corps Intern. After attending Chico State University (where she studied Musical Theater and Philosophy), Lauren became interested in the Episcopal Service Corps through her aunt, who runs an ESC program in LA. She chose the Cleveland program because she wanted to live in an urban environment and because she wanted to live in an intentional community. Lauren is working at Greater Cleveland Congregations (GCC) and is serving as an Interfaith and Civic Campaign Organizer. Despite the sometimes long and tedious hours, Lauren describes her work as, “…rewarding! It was so exciting to see that the School Levy passed and that I got to help improve the Cleveland community!”

Despite the weather, Lauren (aka Miss Sunshine) absolutely loves the Greater Cleveland Area and is incredibly grateful for all the love and support the community has provided.

Just for fun, here are some random facts about Lauren:

· She is an avid watcher of the Colbert Report and The Daily Show.
· She was born in Northern Virginia and lived there until she was ten years old.
· Lauren enjoys spontaneously breaking out into show tunes.
· If Lauren is not singing, she is probably napping.
